
Dwight Prek 3 year olds learned a new skill this week. Every snack we fill our own cups with milk. They are capable of amazing things with enough patience and a bit of instruction.




English 7 students took control of their learning this week. Groups created lessons to instruct their classmates on specific types of nouns, presented the lessons using Google Slides, and assessed their classmates' learning with worksheets written by the group.






Dwight kindergarten used their 5 senses like real scientists and made popcorn today!

Juniors and sophomores may sign-up to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Wednesday, October 23. The deadline to sign-up is Friday August 30. Juniors will be entered into the national scholarship contest while sophomores take it just to practice. Cost is $18 paid by the day of the test.


The 4th graders built a simple electrical system, while learning about how electrical systems work.

Laws 243, that the Board of Education for East Butler Public Schools will meet on the 28th day of August, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at East Butler Public Schools in Brainard to discuss, consider and possibly vote to approve an increase to the school district’s property tax request authority by an additional seven percent, or other maximum amount as permitted by law, above the base growth percentage.
***Please note that this authorization is NOT a tax increase; if approved, it permits the district to plan for future budgets.***

8th Grade Life Skills students rolled dice to determine their futures. This exercise taught them the importance of choosing to prepare for their futures rather than leaving it to chance.

Students taking college courses this fall can review Central Community College's website to orientate students to CCC's Learning Management System. College Algebra, Technical Math, Public Speaking and Electrical Wiring are offered for dual credit.

Reminder that orientation will be at 6:00pm on Tuesday, July 30th. This is for all 7th graders and any new student entering grades 8-12. 7th graders will checkout their laptops when forms and payment are turned in tonight. 8-12th graders will get them on the first day of school.
