East Butler Class of 1983/1984 students that attended Dwight Elementary:
Items were returned to East Butler Public School from the time capsule that was recently opened in Seward. The items, including letters, were written by the 1974-1975 third/fourth grade students in Mrs. Kadavy's classroom in Dwight. They were placed in the time capsule on July 4, 1975 and opened July 4, 2025. If you would like to receive the item, please contact the school at 402-545-2081.

East Butler Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join the school district. This position plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the district, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all business office functions.

Responsibilities include:
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Processing payroll and maintaining payroll records
- Reconciling bank accounts and preparing financial reports
- Assisting with budget preparation and monitoring expenditures
- Maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Supporting the Superintendent and Business Office with financial tasks

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
- Prior bookkeeping, accounting, or payroll experience preferred (school setting experience a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, accounting software, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with staff and administration
